Food Drives
Save your canned goods and non-perishable food items! Each February, we collect about 400-500 lbs of food during our "Soup-er Bowl" food drive, and we put together about 80 Thanksgiving food basket for families in need in November.
Meals for the Homeless
A small group from our church serves breakfast to the homeless at Interfaith Community Services on the first Friday of every month from 5:30 - 7:30 AM. For more information, contact the church office at 760-739-1650 or Scot Koch at 760-443-6719. Visit Interfaith's website for other volunteer opportunities.
Faith in Action Sunday
In May and November each year, our entire congregation is invited to participate in a day of mass service projects! Typical projects include putting together packages for military servicemen and servicewomen overseas, giving gifts to veterans, landscaping at a mobile home park, cleaning up a school, installing gutters at a home, and painting at a women's shelter. Project leaders and volunteers are always needed. Contact Jim Meyer at for dates and project information.
The Giving Tree
Each December, a Christmas tree is put out at church with tags representing items that you can purchase as gifts for children and adults in need. Simply take a tag, purchase a gift, and return the item back to church! Gifts will be distributed through the church and organizations in the community.
