HEAR-LEARN-CARE Discipleship Process

HEAR God’s Word

Why do we go to church? The fundamental position of the disciple is of one seated at the feet of the Lord, hearing His Word, and receiving His gifts. However, too often we think disciples are primarily active. When we put our activity before the Lord’s Word we forget who it is we are actually following. Before we act, we must HEAR.

LEARN God’s Word

God not only speaks to us in the worship service, He gives us His Word in the Bible to be studied. Psalm 1 tells us that this is a word that we should meditate on day and night. We cannot exhaust the riches of God’s Word. However, there are times when we struggle to understand what the Word says. There are parts that offend us. There are parts that drive us to rejoicing. But all of it is what God says. This is a Word we as a church must study together as it forms our faith and our lives.

Bible Classes and Community Small Groups meet throughout the week. Contact Pastor Bob for more information about our Community Small Groups.

CARE for everyone God has given you.

What is your role at church and in the community? Do you have one? By God’s grace, we have been united to the family of God which we call the church. As in any family, we are given responsibilities and people we are to love and serve. You bring gifts and talents to the church that God uses to help others around you. He also has not removed us from our responsibilities in the world. God has placed us in vocations where we are called to serve and love our neighbors for their good and the good of creation. God places us as beacons of light to love, to serve, and to proclaim His mercies so that others might come
