Our eighth grade students were confirmed at Community Lutheran Church campuses in Escondido and San Marcos on Sunday, May 19th.  In case you missed it, we are posting twelve of their testimonies here on our church blog.

Hi, my name is Sara Louise Tracy. I am 13 years old. I go to Woodland Park Middle School in San Marcos. My favorite subject is P.E. I enjoy playing soccer and hanging out with my friends. My Mom and a Dad are Kyle and Sandy. I have two sisters Kayla and Kathryn, and my grandparents are Clyde and Lorraine Berndsen and Noel and Judi Tracy. I have a dog, Jazzy, a cat Sparkles, and some goldfish.  

I was baptized on November 21, 1999 at Community Lutheran Church by Pastor Vogelsang. I attended preschool at church when I was 3 and 4. When I turned 4 I started singing in the Children’s Choir all the way up to fifth grade. I also play piano sometimes during church, so I feel like this is my home. In 6^th grade I became a part of confirmation classes. This year, I found out my spiritual gift is evangelism with Mrs. Hinke. At school, I use my spiritual gift by talking about my faith to my friends at the lunch table. I also received my confirmation verse John 10:27-28,”My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.” I believe this means that Jesus will be with me forever and if I get a little off track He will guide me back to his flock. I know I am a sinner and the devil will challenge me in many ways every day.  I know God will help me with my decisions. 

Next year I will be attending Mission Hills High School. I want to play soccer and field hockey and I hope to run track. After high school I plan to go to college and become an occupational therapist or an engineer. If I become an occupational therapist I can pray for the people to get better or even pray with them. My spiritual gift being evangelism will help me spread the word about Jesus Christ and his plans for us. If I become an engineer I can talk about my faith to my co-workers if they listen to me. I hope that God will keep working through my life to give me opportunities to spread the word about eternal life with Him.
