Free and Forgiven - Confirmation Testimony

Posted on

By Camryn Beebe

BEEBE-DANIEL-181Our eighth grade students were confirmed at Community Lutheran Church campuses in Escondido and San Marcos on Sunday, May 19th.  In case you missed it, we are posting twelve of their testimonies here on our church blog.

Hi my name is Camryn Beebe. I’ve been going to Community Lutheran Church since I was a baby. I come from a big family. I have two older sisters, and two younger brothers. My parents are Dan and Darlene Beebe. I also have loving grandparents, Caroline and John Thompson, who also attend here at Community. I’ve came to faith by Gods works of baptism. I’ve lived in a strong Christian family that has taught me so much about God. I was baptized on July 4, 1999 by Pastor Vogelsang, at Community Lutheran Church. Since then my faith has grown spiritually, and it has shown through some of my actions. I have been involved with many events at the church such as, musicals, Faith in Action, and many other events. I like to volunteer and help out whenever there is an opportunity.

Even though my faith is pretty strong I still struggle with it like most people. I struggle with a few things in my life. One of those things is anxiety. I worry a lot about everything and everybody. Somehow God always gets me through it no matter what. He showed me the path that I will follow that will help me when I’m down and broken. My baptism has shown me that I can trust in God. He has taken me into his life as soon as I was created and knew I was perfect and just the way he wanted me to be. He took me into this world through baptism to help me through my faith and to remember that I’m free and forgiven.

I see myself in 10 years out of college, or still studying in it, working on a great career, and still having faith in God. Whenever I’m helping out with a person in need, or something that needs help getting fixed, it shows me how God can work through people like me or you. That makes us better Christian people, and leads us to the right path God wanted  us to follow. God has forgiven me and you, which shows we don’t have to worry because he will always be there. Whenever you do something wrong God will forgive you right away. When you are in a situation where you feel lonely or scared, just remember that God is always there for you, and will never leave your side, and will forgive you through right or wrong decisions.
